Due to a concern with coated steel cased cartridges feeding poorly, we have incurred feeding problems with the following:
• Coated, Steel Case ammunition.
• Certain types of commercially reloaded, brass cased ammunition
The problem with coated, steel cased ammunition is the coating on the case. As the barrel heats up, the coating begins to soften and melt, leaving a gummy substance in the chamber as well on some of the essential operating parts. When the barrel cools down, the substance becomes very solid and difficult to remove. This effectively creates an undersized chamber and creates performance problems.
T.P.D. Inc. recommends the use of high quality, domestically produced ammunition for best results and highest accuracy.
NOTE: Please note that the use of re-loaded ammunition or coated steel cased ammunition of any type voids the factory warranty. Your rifle is an investment and it only makes sense to choose quality ammunition for a quality rifle!

T.P.D. can permanently attach a brake on your AXR.
Yes! All T.P.D. AXR parts will interchange with original AUG™ rifles with the exception of the AXR specific disconnector and the AXR rails. We manufacture these components as well for the AUG™ but they will not fit the AXR.
At present the AXR will only be available in black.
The AXR comes with the Standard length (8") Optic rail, and one 30 round magazine. However the AXR can be outfitted with a variety of accessories and optic rails to meet the user's needs, with more accessories to come.

Yes there is a left hand version available soon.
