Yeah the M14 is my fav big bore battle rifle as well, smith enterprises is currently making new USGI equivilent parts for them too. Now if 308 ammo would become reasonably priced again I would have a new M14 to go with my AXR |

| I love them too, the M14 is my fav rifle but M80 ball ammo is $1 a round now so I couldnt afford to shoot it if I had one now. I hope that we get a source of cheeper ammo soon because then I will build anoher one. |

I have short arms and have trouble with an M14 in the prone position. The magazine gets in my way because I have to choke up on the stock. I solved the problem by getting an M14 without the magazine. They call it an M1 Garand.

I love the M-14 / M-1A. I have and M-1A and a Socom 2. They are both fun. _________________ I Gave at the office |

Yes, CMP is still selling M1 Garands and M1 Carbines too. They have good prices on 30-06 ammo. Even better if you can get to a CMP store and pick it up saving the shipping.
