I like guns that few others buy or appreciate the merits of (much like the AXR.) The TPS is a shotgun built around the Winchester 1300 defender that comes from the factory with a ported barrel, collapsible stock and pistol grip, ghost ring sights and an optics rail. I bought mine from CDNN for a little over $500 brand new. Seems expensive for a pump, until you consider what it would take to bring a "normal" shotgun up to the same level. Also, parts on the TPS such as the front sight post and rear aperture, trigger guard, pistol grip and collapsible stock interchange readily with AR parts, which is a big plus if you've got extra lying around, or like to shuffle things around every once in a while.

I've upgraded mine with an Enidine Shot Shock, ATI ARA3300 buttstock, ATI SBS4300 shell holder, VLTOR endplate sling point, Urban-E.R.T. single point sling, Falcon Industries ERGO ambi grip, Falcon Industries VFG (uses the same ERGO ambi grip), ProMag polymer railed forend, MagPul enhanced trigger guard, Tac-Star side saddle, and EOTech 512.a65.

All in all it's become a very heavy but useful gun. I'm of the mind that you fight with what's on the weapon when you're in a hurry, which is why I added the shell holders so I can keep 19 rounds on/in it at all times. The Enidine and custom padding I added to the ARA3300 adjustable cheek rest go a long way in reducing felt recoil. I've put up some <2" groups with slugs at 25 yards while standing, so I don't think the weight is a big issue. Keeping in mind that the slugs tear an almost 1" hole. The EOTech makes precision shots with slugs too easy.

These pics don't show the way the gun looks currently but they're pretty close. The big difference is the new forend with VFG.

Also, here is a video of me shooting Aguila Minishells through the TPS, they're a fun novelty round.

My apologies in advance to those of you who prefer more "traditional" looking shotguns.
